26 Random Acts

Before January 26, 2013. I vow to follow through and be a part of this movement.

26 Random Acts of Kindness

It is my hope that I continue on with this, not just to honor the lives lost at Sandy Hook, but to live out the faith I hold so dear. I want to show love, grace, and compassion each and every day even if it is simply listening to an elderly person reminisce, or take in a loose buggy someone left out in the parking lot....

I hope you will also participate and not just for the #26 acts, but make it a new 'habit'!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays from my heart!  If I don't post prior, see you in the new year!

LOW CALORIE EGGNOG say what?!?!?!

YES...

I have created a LOW calorie, low fat Eggnog!! Sound the Bells!!

I need to clean my camera, it is on it's last leg and the pictures are coming out ridiculously blurry but this recipe is super easy! Promise!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2.5-3 cups Silk Almond Milk Unsweetened (30 calories/cup)
    • Depends how thick you want your eggnog to be *thicker, 2.5 c almond milk*
  • 1 small package Sugar Free Instant Jello Pudding
    • I recommend Sugar Free French Vanilla
    • but SF White Chocolate and SF Cheesecake work fab too!
  • 1/2 cup- 1 cup Xylitol Sweetener or Splenda
  • Dash, pinch, sprinkle...whatever you want to call it of both  Nutmeg and Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Imitation Rum Flavor or Rum Extract
    • not watching calories, use the real thing, just use the lower amount of milk

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Add all ingredients in blender
  2. Push the magic button
  3. Watch it swirl
  4. Place in fridge for 2-3 minutes
  5. ENJOY!!
***If it is too thick return blender to base and add a splash more milk and blend, do this until desired consistency,  but I like my eggnog thick like old fashioned eggnog!

Calorie Comparison:

Horizon Organic Traditional Low Fat Eggnog  140 calories per 1/2 cup (4 oz)

190 calories for the ENTIRE recipe, although I recommend sharing!

House Party/ 3M Streaming Projector w/ Roku Review

I was given the opportunity to review a 3M Streaming Projector powered by Roku for a House Party.  I was sent a variety of party supplies including the projector.

  • popcorn
  • paper bowls
  • plastic cups
  • hershey's kisses
  • candy necklaces
  • 3M Streaming Projector, Roku, and adapter

Our house party was a blast, we missed some of the invited guests due to company Christmas get-togethers and illness, but we still enjoyed watching video the night of the party.

We had not registered the Roku yet so we just hooked up the projector to our computer and streamed Netflix onto a blank wall. THE KIDS WERE OVER THE MOON, they thought it was so cool to have the wall as the TV.

Much talk amongst the adult party attenders was about the variety of uses the Projector has:
  • Work presentations
  • slideshows at events, sales booths, weddings, birthdays
  • big screen movies
  • and my family is going to have a indoor campout using the tent walls to watch a Christmas film (our 5 yo daughter's idea) Brilliant actually!!
  • everyone loved the portability, it can run off battery power or via power cord
  • it also has a insert to be mounted on a tripod if desired.

It is easy, super simple to set up and register, you only need to know your wi-fi security passcode (if you have one) and have access to a computer for registering the product.

This would make a GREAT gift for that hard to buy person or tech junkie!  Below is a link to my Vlog (warning I am a HORRIBLE vlogger HA HA and can't stand my own voice so it is unedited...you have been warned!)

I was sent the party kit and projector to review with my honest opinions through House Party and 3M Streaming Projector and to share the device and party goods with my party attenders. No further compensations have been granted and I assure you that my opinions, as always, are my own and not influenced by others.
